TAP INTO JOY
Joy Before Work re-entry is a group program for moms who are looking to ditch self-doubt, simplify their job search, and expect call-backs.
Next cohort starts Fall 2026
You need the confidence to know your worth, create alignment, and communicate your value to hiring decision-makers.
You need:
not a typical approach that ignores re-entry nuances
not relying on years of [non-existent] experience or [outdated] credentials
not a massive list of companies with open job postings that don't excite you
not a generic applicant that's easily overlooked
not a one-size-fits-all, yawn-worthy doc with endless job duties (that no one reads)
not a hit-and-miss, trial-and-error quasi plan
not ad-hoc cold calls that feel uncomfortable or awkward
not breath-holding, finger-crossing, hoping, and wishing
not winging it or silent rehearsals in your head
not plugging away in isolation
TAP INTO
A 3-month program may be exactly what you need to inject confidence into your job search and 180 those crickets to call-backs.
Next cohort begins Fall 2026
WEEK 1 ➡️ LAY THE GROUNDWORK
Before any resume-tweaking, you'll need to first understand the context of your re-entry job search: external (social norms, hiring and recruitment) and internal (mindset) — which will provide insight and perspective for all actions going forward.
It's foundational because: Without context for why re-entry after full-time care for children is particularly challenging, we cannot move forward with actionable strategies that actually work.
In one week, you'll complete a skills audit to uncover your skill set, explore matching industries & roles, and map out what you offer as a solution to facilitate an employer's bottom line: efficiency, money, impact.
It's foundational because: Employers hire people to address pain, mitigate risk, facilitate growth. When you are the solution to a specific need, you're golden.
This week, you will: Make a list of non-negotiables that support your life season + a gather a list of target companies that align.
It's foundational because: A successful job search is a targeted one.
These two weeks will spark so. much. joy. as you: Unearth your gift to the world and how to articulate it through an authentic personal brand that clearly communicates your unique value.
It's foundational because: Without standing out from the crowd, you don't stand a chance for call-backs.
We made it to the half-way point! Next, you will: Create an upskilling roadmap for boosting currency and relevancy.
It's foundational because: If you aren't current and relevant, your candidacy will always be a step behind the competition.
These next two weeks, you will: Transform your solutions offer into a targeted masterpiece that reflects your genius.
It's foundational because: A resume is the only 100% necessary document for a job search. It'd better be solid.
With an epic resume in hand, you will: Optimize your LinkedIn profile and pull out all the stops to put your candidacy under decision-makers' eyeballs.
It's foundational because: The largest networking site on the planet needs to be part of your re-entry plan. Visibility and digital footprint count.
This is where the rubber meets the road. You will: Map out an uncomplicated networking strategy where you feel at ease reaching out in an authentic way that doesn't feel awkward or self-serving.
It's foundational because: Building a network of connections creates context and relationship for mutually beneficial exchanges and expands your access to otherwise hidden opportunities. Plus: Referrals remain one of the most impactful recruitment strategies.
Gathering intel from target contacts, making solid industry connections, interacting with those who inspire you, and building relationships: making friends / finding mentors might even become the most fun part of your job search :)
You will practice answering [ yes, out loud ] the most common interview questions that trip up re-entry moms so that you nail it every time.
It's foundational because: Getting a call-back is the ultimate re-entry win! After that interview is scheduled, you'll need tools to navigate the interview process to avoid awkward answers to important questions.
The program isn't for everyone.
Have 4-5 hours each week to commit to the program
I've been marinating on LinkedIn — the world's largest professional networking platform — since 2022, inhaling all things re-entry, job search, maternal bias, recruiter tricks, etc. and I am stoked to offer a program that I know will elevate your joy, confidence, and connections to call-backs.
Maternal bias is no joke, and if there's one thing about returning after a career break to care for children full-time, it's that the struggle is real to be seen as valuable, committed, and deserving. And to know your worth in the face of gaps in skills or experience. The landscape is changing, and so is the narrative, albeit slow. I'm here to walk you through every step of the way.
After nearly a decade moonlighting as a resume-polisher, I pivoted to specifically support parents' workforce re-entry after career breaks for full-time care, and it's clear that typical job search approaches are often counterproductive and even harmful.
The support you need goes beyond a polished, targeted resume with all the right keywords.
Even after COVID showed up and exposed care as central to the economy, after LinkedIn added career break options (including full-time parenting), and after the narrative began shifting toward flexibility in order for moms to thrive, we still face significant amounts of maternal/caregiver bias in hiring and recruitment.
My Joy Before Work re-entry program confronts that bias head-on.
I'm more than equipped to elevate your re-entry: Recognized as one of Toronto's top LinkedIn experts, author/researcher/contributor to the Canadian Education and Research Institute for Counselling, and LeanIn Circles facilitator for mothers across North America. An emerging HR lens informs my practice and my applied sociology & journalism background is icing on the cake.
I'm here to champion the value of care & boost your currency and relevancy in ways that show impact and inspire call-backs.
Excited to guide you & inspire confidence :)

“I have been working with a career transition counsellor and paying a lot of money but I still don’t have the clarity or confidence I need ... Your emails and posts are always helpful and just as valuable as things I am paying for. I appreciate you.”

Because the program is delivered in a live, real-time setting, with immediate access to resources and templates, I am unable to offer refunds.
Each week, you’ll attend 2 live sessions (approx 1hr - 1.5hrs each).
I suggest carving an additional 2-4 hours to complete the assigned activity each week (Some worksheets may require less time compared to others that are more in-depth).
TBD
This takes place during the personal branding + interview practice segments.
Does this program guarantee I'll land a job?
No, this program is not a guarantee at signing an offer of employment.
What is the price breakdown?
1 hour of live instruction per week + 1.5 hours of coaching / workshop Q&A per week
= 10 hrs per month with me live x 3 months
= $330 / month (that's only $13.75 per live session!)
Plus all material: Worksheets, Videos, Templates, etc.
The 12-week re-entry program is a steal.
You will pay anywhere from $200-$800+ for a resume. Just a resume.
